In Tuesday’s Asia Cup 2025 ninth match at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Bangladesh set a target of 155 runs for Afghanistan.
The batting unit of Bangladesh produced 154/5 in the allocated 20 overs, demonstrating the success of captain Litton Das’ choice to bat first.
Tanzid and Saif Hassan, the Tigers’ opening duo, put up a solid 63 until Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan ended the partnership on the third ball of the seventh over by removing the latter. The Tigers had a strong start to their innings.
Saif, who scored 30 runs off 28 deliveries with two fours and a six, continued to be a standout run scorer for Bangladesh.
