Usman Wahla, the director of international cricket for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has been suspended for not promptly sending a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC), according to reports on Monday.
After failing to swiftly transmit an official letter about the Asia Cup handshake controversy, which has generated intense debate around the cricket world, Wahla was fired.
According to the sources, the PCB leadership became frustrated with the response’s delay, which finally resulted in his suspension.
Following the PCB’s official complaint to the ICC and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) calling for match referee Andy Pycroft to be removed from the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, the decision was made.
