During Tuesday’s Made on YouTube event, YouTube unveiled a suite of new generative artificial intelligence tools for Shorts makers.
One of the main features is Veo 3 Fast, a modified version of Google’s text-to-video approach that allows users to create clips with lower latency and 480p resolution. This is the first time sound may be added to video clips.
The United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom are all now implementing these upgrades. Future plans to expand these services to more locations have been mentioned by YouTube.
Veo has added new features to Shorts, such as the ability to adapt motion from videos to still photographs to make them more animated.
