KARACHI: Pakistan will deploy 5G services in the upcoming months, with the initial rollout scheduled in seven major cities, according to a Tuesday announcement by Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
However, the promise of 5G internet comes after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said in its 2024 annual report that Pakistan will have a challenging transition to 5G, despite increasing broadband penetration, according to a December story from The News.
