LONDON: US President Donald Trump has been hailed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the “architect of peace” in South Asia, credited with averting an Indian-Pakistan conflict via what he described as truly world-class statesmanship and vision.
Speaking to a small group of Pakistani media in London on Sunday, the premier made these statements. He expressed gratitude to President Trump for preventing what he called a potentially devastating war in South Asia, stating that if the battle had progressed, millions of people could have been harmed.
After returning from a high-level diplomatic tour to the United States and Saudi Arabia, the premier spoke at the Pakistan High Commission and stated: “South Asia may have seen a big war if President Donald Trump had not stepped in.
