Following prosecutors’ recommendation that the hip-hop mogul serve more than 11 years in prison, a U.S. court on Tuesday denied Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attempt to have his criminal conviction on felony prostitution-related counts overturned.
The treatment of Combs’ two ex-girlfriends, rhythm and blues artist Casandra Ventura and a woman identified in court as Jane, was the subject of “overwhelming evidence of Combs’ guilt” established by Manhattan U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian.
According to prosecutors, Combs arranged for male prostitutes to cross state borders to perform Freak Offs—drug-fueled sex acts—with his girlfriends while he watched, took films, and masturbated.
According to Ventura and Jane’s testimony, Combs threatened to stop providing them with financial support if they objected to the performances and physically assaulted them.
