Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, has suggested that Pakistan Railways and the provincial government collaborate to resurrect the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), emphasizing that the project is urgently needed and has already experienced significant delays.
In order to enhance service delivery, Shah proposed outsourcing activities to Federal Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi at a meeting.
He underlined that passengers would greatly benefit from the modernization of the Karachi-to-Rohri rail line and the operation of trains along the route.
With an investment of Rs 6 billion, Railways Minister Abbasi declared that a new passenger train service would be introduced from Karachi to Sukkur. He also promised that the Karachi-to-Rohri train will have contemporary amenities and stated that all rail lines in Karachi would be replaced with new rails.
