Prior to the Asia Cup 2025, Mike Hesson, the white ball coach of Pakistan’s men’s cricket team, stated that the Green Shirts’ triumph in the tri-nation series was a “confidence builder.”
Mohammad Nawaz claimed a hat-trick as Pakistan crushed Afghanistan by 75 runs in the final on Sunday at Sharjah Stadium.
Hesson was pleased with the team’s development and asserted that defeating Afghanistan under favorable circumstances boosted his team’s confidence before the continental event.
“I am happy with how the team is developing. The fact that we defeated Afghanistan under circumstances that suited their spin attack was a huge boost to our confidence, he continued.
