KARACHI: There is no relief for Karachiites in terms of lawlessness in Pakistan’s economic metropolis, as another individual was not only robbed of his vehicle by unidentified lifters, but also compelled to “pay ransom” due to “police inaction” in investigating the issue.
The local police took no action despite being instantly informed, the citizen said Geo News, adding: “Police responded to me with an excuse to lodge his case after the completion of the general elections — held on February 8.”

Unidentified robbers stole the affected citizen’s vehicle from outside his residence in the New Karachi Sector 11 area on February 3.
When approached multiple times, the police officials concerned were still reluctant to lodge a first information report (FIR). Surprisingly, the complaint has been lodged by the police despite the availability of clear CCTV footage of the car theft incident.
