On Wednesday, one day ahead of his scheduled virtual court appearance in a Santa Fe court, the actor entered a not guilty plea in a court document. That appearance has since been canceled.
On January 19, he was accused in New Mexico after the director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident, according to local prosecutors who stated that “additional facts” had surfaced from forensic examinations of the firearm.
Mr. Baldwin has insisted that he just drew back the Colt.45 pistol’s hammer, not the trigger.
Additionally, he has maintained that he is not responsible for Ms. Hutchins’ passing because neither he nor anyone else was meant to be on the scene when the gun was used and he was unaware that it carried live shots.
However, following its breakage during FBI testing, special prosecutors in New Mexico said in October that they had hired forensic specialists to recreate the weapon.
They claimed that by doing this, it had become clear that pulling the trigger was the only way the occurrence could have happened.
