KARACHI: According to The News on Sunday, landfall along Sindh’s coast is not anticipated for the powerful cyclonic storm Shakti, which is presently circling over the northeast Arabian Sea.
However, the cyclone is expected to deliver strong gusts, difficult sea conditions, and light rain to coastal regions throughout the weekend, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Shakti was situated approximately 480 kilometers southwest of Karachi on Saturday night, according to the Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre of the Met Office in Karachi.
By late Sunday, the storm, which has been traveling west-southwest, is probably going to continue to move into the Arabian Sea’s northwest and adjacent central regions before turning east-northeast.
