An online pledge by the Texas A&M baseball coach to stay at the institution goes viral amid rumors of his departure for a competitor.

The Texas A&M Aggies fell to Tennessee 6-5 on Monday night in the pivotal Game 3 of the College World Series.

After the game, Aggies head coach Jim Schlossnagle declared he went to College Station “to never take another job again.” It was the Vols’ first-ever baseball championship.

When the reporter inquired about the reports of a “specific job opening” following the loss, Schlossnagle even confronted him, claiming it was “selfish” of him to do so.

“To become the Texas A&M coach, I had to leave my family. My intention when I took the job at Texas A&M was to never take another one, and I still stand by that. Talking about something like that is unjust. stated Schlossnagle.

“While I acknowledge that you have to ask, I must say that I gave up a significant portion of my life to accept this job, and I have given it everything I have.” Put that in writing.”

In reality, news revealed that Schlossnagle was taking a new job less than a day after expressing that opinion.

But the Texas Longhorns, the school’s in-state rival, are the subject of the investigation, not just any employer.
