At the ongoing World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, Pakistan’s top athlete, Arshad Nadeem, made it to the Men’s Javelin Throw final round on Wednesday.
After throwing 74.17 meters in his second attempt and 76.99 meters in his first, the athlete’s third and final attempt of 85.28 meters earned him a spot in the javelin final.
He will now compete in Thursday’s medal round alongside some of the greatest in the world.
Curtis Thompson, who started with a throw of 77.97m, secured his place with a subsequent throw of 84.72m, while Julius Yego (89.53m) and Anderson Peters (85.96m) also advanced from his group.
Neeraj Chopra, the two-time Olympic medallist and Olympic champion for India, advanced with just one throw.
