Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme was signed by West Ham for a five-year contract worth £25.5 million from Palmeiras.
Since taking over as manager last month, Julen Lopetegui has signed one player, who is eighteen years old.
Guilherme’s transfer will be finalized on Friday when the Premier League transfer market formally opens, if he receives international permission and a work permit.
He said on the West Ham United website, “I’m very happy to be signing with a club that trusted in my work.”
Guilherme debuted for Palmeiras in 2023 at the age of 17, and he participated in the Copa Libertadores this season with the team.
The young man stated that he and his family “liked” the project that the Hammers gave him and that he can “learn a lot” from Lopetegui, who took over for Thorpe.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world,” he continued. I think working with the whole West Ham team will help me grow a lot, which is important for my progress.”
