During an operation in the Site area, the Karachi Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) detained Hidayatullah, a terrorist of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The CTD spokesperson claimed that Hidayatullah, a.k.a. Maulana Abdul Hakim, the terrorist who was captured, was in charge of TTP’s educational activities in Karachi and Swat. While gathering money for the banned TTP group, he was captured.
According to the spokesperson, Mohammad Ghaus, the terrorist’s father, was slain in Afghanistan in 2000. TTP Swat leader Maulvi Fazlullah’s close colleague and brother of the terrorist, Kifayatullah, has gone missing since the Swat operation.
In addition, the CTD apprehended two terrorists in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth neighborhood who belonged to the outlawed TTP Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.The detained people were connected to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Hafiz Gul Bahadur organization, according to CTD DIG Asif Ejaz Sheikh.
