Danny Masterson, the former actor of That ’70s Show, has made news once more, this time because of his first mugshot following his rape conviction.
For two charges of rape with force, violence, or fear of bodily harm, the 47-year-old actor was given a term ranging from 30 years to life in prison.
Masterson looks expressionless in the picture, sporting disheveled hair and an out-of-control beard while sporting an orange jumpsuit.
After being transferred by the Los Angeles County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from a LA jail to North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, the mugshot was made public by them.
In an effort to reduce his sentence, Masterson’s well-known acquaintances, like as Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, had written letters on his behalf. But as a result of the strong outcry against their sponsorship, Kutcher resigned from his anti-sex trafficking organization.
A hung jury in November 2022 led to a retrial in May, which resulted in Masterson’s conviction. Bijou Phillips, his spouse of 12 years, sought for divorce not long after he was sentenced.
Throughout Masterson’s trial, Phillips had supported him, calling him her “life-saving partner.” Masterson granted Phillips’ request for joint legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Fianna.
