The popular K-drama Dear X is facing backlash after fans noticed a major storyline missing in the TV adaptation. Episodes 11 and 12, set to release on December 4, continue the story but skip key events from Episodes 9 and 10, leaving viewers disappointed.
In the latest episodes, Baek Ah Jin (Kim Yoo Jung) works to restore her public image after Heo In Gang’s tragic suicide. She receives help from Moon Do Hyuk (Hong Jong Hyun), a wealthy CEO who offers to protect her secrets and advance her career—on the condition she marries him. Their relationship progresses to a wedding in Italy, but Ah Jin soon discovers Do Hyuk’s darker side.
Meanwhile, Yoon Jun Seo (Kim Young Dae) uncovers shocking family secrets after his grandfather’s death, learning that the man he thought was his father is not biologically related to him. When he confronts Ah Jin, her cold reaction shocks him.
Fans were particularly upset that a crucial pregnancy storyline was removed. In the original webtoon, Ah Jin discovers Do Hyuk’s infertility and attempts to have a child with Jun Seo to claim it as Do Hyuk’s. The drama leaves this out, only briefly mentioning Do Hyuk’s ex-wife in the hospital.
