In a harsh response to what he described as inflammatory remarks made by New Delhi’s senior security establishment, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif declared early on Sunday that India would be “buried under the wreckage of its warplanes, Inshallah.”
Asif characterized recent remarks made by India’s political and military leaders as an unsuccessful attempt to regain their lost credibility in a post on X. He said that their remarks demonstrated upper-level pressure.
The minister added, “If they try again after such a decisive 6–0 defeat, the [Pakistan’s] score will only get better.” He went on to say that the leaders’ remarks mirrored the sharp decline in support for the ruling party that had occurred in India following that setback.
