As new checkpoint scanners are installed throughout Terminals 1, 2, and 3, travelers at Dubai International (DXB) will soon be able to get through security without taking laptops or liquids larger than 100 milliliters out of their bags, according to Gulf News.
DXB CEO Paul Griffiths reportedly stated that tests of the UK-made technology are already yielding “quicker and more reliable” findings.
He stated that “absolute security” is the first concern, followed by efficiency and speed.
The airport is improving both passenger and hold baggage screening after processing 46 million travelers in the first half of 2025.
