Election 2024: Imran Khan makes a “victory speech” following Nawaz Sharif

As delayed poll results fueled speculation when the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) deadline passed, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan praised party workers and supporters, saying the “massive turnout surprised everyone”.

In an AI-generated statement uploaded on X — formerly known as Twitter — late Friday night, the former prime minister reminded his supporters: “You have laid the foundation of real freedom by casting your votes yesterday [Thursday], and I congratulate you on the victory in the general elections 2024.”

The disqualified PM, who was forced from power in 2022 by a no-confidence vote in parliament, also stated: “I totally trusted you that you would all come out to vote, and you have fulfilled that trust. Everyone was surprised by your big attendance.”

While maintaining his position, Khan stated, “The ‘London plan’ has failed because of your vote.”

The AI-generated voice further criticized Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, claiming that despite the unexpected result status of 30 National Assembly seats, he delivered a victory speech.

The 71-year-old’s AI voice further stated, “No Pakistani will accept that, and international media is also writing about that folly.” Our independent sources informed us that we had won 150 National Assembly seats prior to the rigging procedure.

He went on to say: “Currently, as per the data from Form-45, we are triumphant on over 170 National Assembly seats.”

He also stated that despite persecution and abuses over the last two years, the PTI won the elections with a two-thirds majority.

“My fellow Pakistanis, you have made history,” Khan remarked, adding, “I am proud of you and grateful to Allah for turning us into a nation.” “No one can stop us from flying high.”

He concluded his AI address by saying, “In the end, you don’t have to fear. Celebrate and offer thankfulness prayers. Everyone has seen the strength of your vote; now, I ask you to demonstrate the ability to protect it.”

Victory speech.
Earlier today, in his victory address, Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N’s premiership candidate, stated that he wants to build a united government after his party “emerged victorious” in the February 8 general election.

“I have tasked Shehbaz Sharif to meet Fazlur Rehman, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Asif Ali Zardari today,” the former three-time premier told a packed crowd in Lahore’s Model Town, which was there to listen to his “victory speech”.

“Alhamdulillah, the PML-N is the largest single party in the country today after the elections,” he said in a statement.

The PML-N chief, who ended his self-imposed exile in October last year, encouraged all national institutions and politicians to play an active part in steering the country out of the current crisis.

Referring to the country’s shaky economy, Nawaz stated, “At least ten years are required to bring stability to the country.”
