The European Commission has revised its plan to phase out petrol and diesel cars by 2035, reducing the original 100% zero-emission target. Under the updated proposal, 90% of new vehicles sold from 2035 must be zero-emission, while the remaining 10% could include petrol, diesel, or hybrid cars.
