ISLAMABAD: The foreign minister took the place of the finance minister in the Council of Common Interests (CCI) following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s approval of its reconstruction on Friday.
According to a notification, President Asif Ali Zardari established the eight-member CCI in accordance with Article 153 of the Constitution at the suggestion of Prime Minister Shehbaz.
The four chief ministers are among the members of the CCI, which is led by Prime Minister Shehbaz.
According to the notice, the CCI also comprises Safron Minister Amir Muqam, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
