PDMA issues a monsoon season warning.
Salman Shah, the director general of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), issued a warning to the relevant authorities on Saturday over the impending monsoon season in Karachi.
Details indicate that in accordance with the monsoon season, the commissioner of Karachi convened a meeting of the relevant departments. Rainfall is anticipated to occur more frequently than it.
“Rainfall of more than 100 percent is expected in the current year from July to August,” Shah stated in response to the event.
He stated that “29 out of 198 slope areas are sensitive in Karachi.”
The commissioner of Karachi had asked for an emergency plan because there might be significant rainfall in the capital of Sindh.
