ISLAMABAD: Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, criticized Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Wednesday for attempting to “set his price” in response to the efforts of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to garner backing for its protest movement.
Fazlur Rehman is not even allowed to cast a single ballot within his own household. In an interview with journalists in Islamabad, Gandapur stated, “Even my [PTI’s] worker will beat him [in elections].
Today, he made an appearance before an anti-terrorism court about matters of audio leaks, Section 144 violations, and allegations of vandalism at the Islamabad judicial complex.
The PTI and the JUI-F “agreed on increasing party-level contacts” after Asad Qaiser spoke with Fazl over the phone and the two discussed the state of politics today and the way forward for forming a government.
Stressing that both parties have “ideological coordination” regarding the public movement against the February 8 election results, Qaiser, during his interaction with the JUI-F chief, pitched an idea for those parties who believe in the supremacy of law should start a political movement against the incumbent government from the united platform of “Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Dastoor”.
