ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s nominee for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, is making insulting remarks about Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) president Maulana Fazlur Rehman, according to The News on Sunday.
Talking to a PTI activist, Gandapur indicated his wish to commit Fazl to an asylum, claiming that he had gone insane.
Scores of political leaders, journalists, and others have slammed the PTI leader for his demeaning conversation in the footage, in which the PTI’s CM nominee can be seen supporting a young PTI worker’s proposal to display photos of returning officers allegedly involved in rigging on the “wall of shame”.
Gandapur suggests that the ROs should first be expelled, and then their pictures should be put on the wall.
To a query of the young activist about Maulana Fazl’s confusion, he stated that the JUI-F chief had gone mad and would be put in an asylum.
JUI-F Spokesperson Aslam Ghori said the PTI leader was a mentally unbalanced person.
Responding to the awful remarks, the JUI-F spokesperson said the leader of a major political party, who was going to occupy the most important seat in the province, said something that did not suit his position.
He said, “Then his intention to display the pictures of returning officers on the highways under the title Wall of Shame reflects the vindictive ambitions of the most degenerate thinking.”
