House prepares vote to reopen government
House Republican leaders plan a vote to end government shutdown today after the Senate passed a funding package expected to reopen key agencies.
The House is expected to approve the Trump backed package. However, some members on both sides may still object.

President Donald Trump will meet Colombian President Gustavo Petro at the White House today. This is their first official meeting.

Trump repeats demand for $1 billion from Harvard
Trump also renewed pressure on Harvard University. He said his administration wants $1 billion to settle federal probes.
Trump claims the university allowed antisemitism during protests. Those protests focused on Israel’s war against Hamas. Harvard has not responded publicly.
