Josh Kerr is not competing in the 1500m, however Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway and Cole Hocker and Yared Nuguse of the United States, who won gold and bronze in the Paris Games, will compete in the highly anticipated race.
Letsile Tebogo, the 21-year-old Olympic champion from Botswana, competes in the 200m against Kenny Bednarek and a formidable American field.
While Britain’s Molly Caudery will aim to get over her dismal Olympic campaign, Sweden’s Armand Duplantis may try to improve on the world record that he has already broken three times this year in the pole vault competition.
Melissa Courtney-Bryant of Britain competes in the women’s 1500 meters, while Ben Pattison of Canada has tough competition in the 800 meters against Kenyan Olympic winner Emmanuel Wanyonyi.
Running the 800m–1500m double, Georgia Bell will have Jemma Reekie at her side for the shorter distance. On Saturday, Neita and Amy Hunt will also participate in the 200 m.
