The announcements in the marriage contract, the nikahnama, about the finality of prophethood are about to be decided upon by the federal government.
Within the Ministry of Religious Affairs, there are plans to include an affidavit confirming the finality of Prophethood (PBUH) in the nikahnama.
According to the sources, a summary pertaining to the affidavit will be provided at an upcoming cabinet meeting, where the proposed change would be reviewed.
The new condition, if accepted by the federal cabinet, will demand that the nikahnama issued under Islamabad’s jurisdiction include an oath proclaiming the finality of prophethood.
