For their second child, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker may choose a surrogate.
With their first child Rocky, the pair experienced a difficult pregnancy; in September 2023, Kourtney required surgery to preserve the baby’s life.
“Kourt’s pregnancy with Rocky was challenging. The way things turned out is incredibly fortunate for her and Travis, an insider informed Daily Mail.
“For a brief period, it was close to impossible, but everyone is well and content, and it has made them want to have even more kids together.”
The source said that the couple’s closer bond deepened during the pregnancy, which contributed to their adorable PDA-filled red carpet presentation at the Emmys.
“With all the lovey-dovey PDA they share from high school, this pregnancy challenged their love for each other in a way that makes it even better than it was,” they added.
The source went on, “Next year would be the earliest time to start thinking about more kids because Rocky is so young and they are enjoying him.”
“They have discussed trying for another child, but this time they would probably use a surrogate,” they continued. They continue to have a constant conversation without changing it to a “no.”
Along with her ex Scott Disick, Kourtney is the mother of three children—Mason, 13, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10—while Travis is the father of one daughter, Landon, 20.
