Tuesday was another historic day for the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), as the benchmark KSE-100 Index closed at an all-time high after breaking above the 157,000-point mark for the first time.
The KSE-100 index soared to a record high of 157,088.80 points during intraday trading. The market gained 476 points from the previous session to close at 156,563 points.
This accomplishment is in spite of a 1,044-point decline earlier in the session, which was quickly overcome as investor confidence increased.
The PSX saw almost 1 billion shares traded today, indicating robust investor activity. The magnitude of market involvement was demonstrated by the Rs 55 billion total value of traded shares.
