The Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s (PDMA) Director General reports that the possibility of urban floods has put major city administrations on high alert.
With a strong system set to approach the state tomorrow evening, Punjab is predicted to experience monsoon rains starting today and lasting until August 29.
Particularly at risk are Punjabi cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Gujranwala. Furthermore, the divisions of Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Bahawalpur are at high risk of flash floods. Administrations throughout the province have received an alert advising them to get ready for the possible impact of heavy rains.
