Savannah Guthrie Makes Emotional Public Plea
Savannah Guthrie released a new video message on social media late last night. In the clip, the “TODAY” co anchor asked the person responsible for her mother’s disappearance, or anyone with information, to come forward.
She said it is never too late to do the right thing. Through her message, she urged anyone involved to provide answers about Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts.
DNA Evidence Recovered Near Home
Meanwhile, investigators recovered a glove about two miles from Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home. According to a source familiar with the case, the glove contains DNA evidence.
In addition, the glove appears similar to one worn by a person seen in doorbell camera footage from the morning Nancy Guthrie disappeared. Authorities are now reviewing that connection as part of the ongoing investigation.
Surveillance Video Reveals Suspect Details
Earlier, the FBI analyzed video captured at Guthrie’s home. The footage shows a man standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He wore a black 25 liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.
Investigators say the man tampered with the home’s doorbell camera on the morning of the disappearance. As a result, authorities are working to identify him and determine his role in the case.
FBI Doubles Reward
At the same time, the FBI doubled the reward for information that leads to an arrest or conviction. The reward now stands at 100,000 dollars.
Officials say they continue to review thousands of tips submitted by the public. Therefore, they urge anyone with credible information to contact authorities immediately.
