KARACHI: In keeping with its practice of politicizing sports, Secretary Devajit Saikia of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that the BCCI’s stance on Pakistan will not alter for their forthcoming match at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.
The BCCI secretary told the BBC that there was no guarantee that Indian players would shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts at their next match on October 5 in Colombo.
“I cannot forecast anything, but our relationship with that country (Pakistan) is the same, there is no change in the last week,” Saikia stated.
“India and Pakistan will play that match in Colombo, and all cricket rules will be observed.
