The agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is solely defensive and not aimed at any third party, according to confirmation from the Foreign Office.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said the prime minister traveled to Saudi Arabia at Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s request during a weekly press briefing in Islamabad on Friday. He and the Saudi government inked a strategic defense deal. An attack on one nation will be interpreted as an attack on both, according to the pact.
According to Khan, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have distinct economic and defense alliances. According to him, the bilateral strategic agreement does not allow the two nations to remark on defense manufacturing.
