At least forty high-capacity wagons that were locally built were added to Pakistan Railways’ fleet on Wednesday, after China’s fulfillment of its pledge to transfer its local manufacturing technology to Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Railways, Chief Executive Officer Amir Ali Baloch of the railways officially opened the new, international standard carriages at the Cantt Railway Station in Lahore.
It was also mentioned that the contemporary wagons can transport 70 tons of cargo and are able to transport containers from one location to another.
