According to railway authorities, Pakistan Railways has declared that all of its railway offices will be closed on July 17 in observance of the 10th of Muharram.
The decision to close the railway offices on this particular day was made, per a notification, to commemorate the significance of the 10th of Muharram, a day of sadness and introspection for the Muslim community. According to officials, the ruling would be implemented by all train reservation offices.
Railway authorities have stressed that all reservation offices and other facilities will resume regular business as usual on July 17 without any interruptions.
