Since Susan Rimell’s early-onset vascular dementia diagnosis in 2015, Helen Rimell has been in mourning.
Professional photographer Helen moved back to South Wales two years ago to take on full-time caregiving duties for her 75-year-old mother.
The photojournalist and wedding photographer had been capturing images of her mum for decades and continued to do so, leading to a deeply personal piece named No Longer Her(e).
Her photographs portray her mother’s deterioration in the minute elements of their routine in their Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, home.
