At the request of his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday for a three-day official visit, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
When PM Shehbaz arrived at the Bunga Raya International Airport in Kuala Lumpur, he was greeted by Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, the Pakistani High Commissioner to Malaysia and Malaysia’s Information Minister, along with other diplomatic personnel.
Following that, the prime minister was led according to state procedure to the home of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who greeted him.
The visit will strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations, PM Shehbaz said, thanking his Malaysian counterpart for the cordial welcome.
