Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Palestinian cause and regional peace at high-level meetings in Sharm el-Sheikh with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Shehbaz Sharif praised the Gazan people for their “courage and bravery” in suffering extreme hardships throughout the fighting during the meeting. He praised the recent ceasefire and peace deal, calling it a first step toward long-term peace and progress for Palestinians and the region as a whole.
Conversation with Bahraini and Palestinian leaders
The meeting between President Abbas and King Hamad was held in a friendly and comfortable setting. President Mahmoud Abbas expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its continuous diplomatic and political support of Palestine.
