Following their previous disagreement over flood relief efforts, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) engaged in a new verbal sparring match on Saturday over the canals problem.
Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, claimed that other parties used the province’s flood damage for political gain, which sparked the rift between the allies.
Additionally, she disregarded PPP’s concerns regarding the Indus River canal project.
PPP Sindh President Senator Nisar Khuhro took issue with CM Maryam’s words, claiming that they violated the Council of Common Interests’ (CCI) ruling.
The PPP senator called on PML-N President Nawaz Sharif in a statement posted on the party’s X account.
