Eleven candidates for minority seats are also chosen by the party.

With reserved seats, PTI will become the largest party.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has received a list of candidates for the reserved seats from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who selected Yasmin Rashid, Aliya Hamza Malik, and Sanam Javed among others. The development occurred after the Supreme Court granted the former ruling party reserved seats in assemblies in its brief verdict on July 12 in the reserved seats case, opening the door for the party to potentially overtake the other parties in the legislature.

In a historic decision, the top court ordered the PTI to provide the electoral board with a list of its qualified candidates for the reserved seats within 15 days of the decision. The SC order stipulated that the ECP had seven days to post the list of candidates’ reserved seats on its website.

The PTI filed their list of candidates for the reserved seats in the national, Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly today in compliance with the brief ruling of the highest court.
