Democrats Omit Clinton from Holiday Graphic
The Republican National Committee poked fun at Democrats after they left former President Bill Clinton off a Presidents’ Day post. The image shared by TheDemocrats included John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Franklin Roosevelt, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden—but Clinton was missing.
The only Democratic presidents not featured between Roosevelt and Biden were Bill Clinton and Harry Truman.
RNC Highlights the Oversight
In response, the RNC retweeted the post, adding a photo of Clinton wearing glasses and sitting next to Hillary Clinton with a focused expression. The caption read: “Forget someone again??”
Fox News Digital reached out to the Democratic National Committee about whether the omission was intentional and contacted the Clinton Foundation for comment.
Republicans Show Their Own Tribute
Meanwhile, Republicans shared a Presidents’ Day image of Mount Rushmore, inserting a color photo of Donald Trump next to Abraham Lincoln. Their account also retweeted the Department of Health and Human Services, which honored leaders shaping the nation and reaffirmed a commitment to Americans’ health and well-being. The HHS graphic featured Trump, Lincoln, and George Washington.
Clinton’s Past Controversies
Clinton, widely popular, also faced several scandals. Kenneth Starr investigated him for a 1978 Arkansas land deal called “Whitewater.” Clinton was never charged, but business partners Jim and Susan McDougal were convicted. Hillary Clinton previously worked for the law firm representing Jim McDougal’s bank, and Governor Jim Guy Tucker, Clinton’s successor, was also convicted.
The Whitewater case ultimately uncovered the Monica Lewinsky scandal, in which Clinton was accused of having a sexual relationship with a White House intern. On January 26, 1998, Clinton publicly maintained his innocence during a press conference.
