KARACHI: Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Information Minister, has called for an open discussion with Punjab government ministers, accusing them of attempting to drive a wedge between the federal administration and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Memon claimed during a news conference in Karachi that the federal government was the target of Punjab’s criticism of the PPP and that “an attempt is being made to create an environment where the PPP withdraws its support for the Center.”
He insisted that there was no conflict between the administrations of Sindh and Punjab and that “the people of Punjab are our own.”
“The Punjab government’s real target is the prime minister,” Memon stated. “We are being used as a cover to attack the federal government.”
