Hunger Strike in Sonam Wangchuk
Sonam Wangchuk, an Indian activist who has been on a hunger strike for 26 days in support of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Claims he is “still alive” despite losing 11 kg (24 lbs).
Wangchuk, sometimes referred to as “Sonam sir,” has been the focal point of the youth-led movement calling for school reforms and school Minister.
He was transported to the hospital to continue his fast after being forcibly removed from the CJP’s protest site at Jantar Mantar in Delhi .
Even after the violent police crackdown on Monday’s march to parliament. Which resulted in numerous injuries to both protestors and police, thousands of people still show up at the protest site.

The violence has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration by inciting popular indignation and energizing India’s opposition.
Modi made a remark on X on Thursday that is perceived as an attempt to connect with students who have been irritated by frequent exam paper leaks.

Fast Track Courts Paper Leaks
We have made the decision to establish fast-track courts in order to guarantee that those responsible for paper leaks receive prompt justice.

However, according to a CJP spokeswoman, the true issues that need to be addressed are who gains from paper leaks and why they occur.
In a video posted on X, Ashutosh Ranka stated, “You are applying medication after an injury, but our struggle asks why the injury has to happen.”
Implying that demonstrators would not give up until their demands were fulfilled.
Fast Track Courts Paper Leaks
Wangchuk is no longer present at the protest site, but he is depicted in several posters and placards with slogans about his fast.
He survived 21 days on nothing but salt and water in the sweltering summer heat of Delhi before being transported to the hospital.
He is currently stable, focused, and his vital signs are within normal ranges. He has given his informed consent for all of the treatments being given to him.
