A tragic mid-air collision between two light aircraft near Sydney has left one pilot dead, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred during a formation flight of four Van’s RV-7 planes returning to Wedderburn Airport in southwestern Sydney.
Emergency responders discovered the pilot’s body in nearby bushland, confirming he was the sole occupant of the aircraft that crashed. Fortunately, the second plane involved landed safely, and its pilot was unharmed.
