KARACHI: According to sources, a fire that started in a building in Karachi’s DHA Phase-II on Saturday claimed the lives of at least two women.
At least ten individuals were taken from the building on Korangi Road and taken to the hospital, according to Rescue 1122 authorities.
A woman and her daughter-in-law were among the two injured who passed away before being taken to the hospital.
Rescue officials reported that a family was still trapped on the first floor of the building and that crews were trying to find and remove the family as well as any other people who might still be inside.
It is now unknown what caused the fire and how many persons were trapped within the structure.
