ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has expressed reservations about forming a coalition government in Balochistan with its former ally, Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).
According to sources, during a meeting between PML-N leader Ishaq Dar and JUI-F’s Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, the latter proposed forming a coalition government in Balochistan with his erstwhile allies.
Dar, on the other hand, informed Haideri that the PML-N and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will establish a coalition government in the province because a power-sharing deal between the two parties had already been reached at the Centre.
“The PML-N and the JUI-F can at the very least form a coalition government in Balochistan,” Haideri told sources.

Dar, on the other hand, answered by stating, “We wanted to go together, but Maulana, you’re late.”
The PML-N leader claimed he had attempted to contact the JUI-F but was unsuccessful. “Now we have struck an agreement with the PPP.”
Dar stated that he would inform the party leadership of the JUI-F offer, and that the final decision on this matter would be made by the top leadership.
The incident arose after Maulana Fazl said that former army leader Qamar Javed Bajwa engineered and led a no-confidence move against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in March 2022.
