A 17 year old boy, Jamal Coombes, died after a stabbing in Battersea, south west London. Emergency services reached Glycena Road at around 04:20 in the early hours of Saturday. They found him seriously injured.
He did not survive his injuries.
Arrest and Charge
Police arrested a 14 year old boy from Wandsworth in connection with the case. Authorities later charged him with murder and possession of a bladed article.
He appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Monday. Because of his age, the law protects his identity.
Other Teenagers Involved
Police also arrested three other teenagers during the investigation.
A 15 year old boy and a 15 year old girl were arrested on suspicion of murder. Both have now been released on bail.
Another 15 year old boy remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are still working to understand what happened before the attack. Officers continue to gather evidence and speak to witnesses.
