ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) denied on Wednesday that the party was attempting to negotiate an amnesty, or Non-Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), with the government.
During a Senate session, senior party leader Ali Zafar stated, “I want to state it clearly: the PTI is not seeking an NRO through the ongoing negotiations with the government as the cases against PTI founder Imran Khan were ‘open and shut’.”
The third round of negotiations, called by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow in Parliament House. The two parties have already met twice, on December 27, 2024, and January 2, 2025.
