ISLAMABAD: Zartaj Gul, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had a non-bailable arrest order dismissed by a district and sessions court in Islamabad on Wednesday.
After the former state minister frequently failed to show up for court, civil judge Mubashir Hassan issued her warrant in a case filed at the Barakahu police station.
When granting the warrant, the court stated that Gul had been given multiple chances to appear but had disregarded the directives.
Two hours after she appeared in court, the judge declared, “I am cancelling her warrant as she is here in person.”
The proceedings were then postponed until March 12 by the court.
